Blot it up
Press plain white paper towels or a clean cloth onto the spot and stand on it to soak up as much as you can. Repeat with fresh towels.
Pet carpet guide
Blot fresh accidents with plain paper towels, don't scrub or soak them, and skip strong household chemicals. Then book a pet-treatment cleaning and point out every spot during the walkthrough. Results depend on how deep the urine went, so permanent odor removal cannot be promised.

Rubbing pushes urine deeper and spreads it wider into the fibers and backing.
Pouring lots of water on the spot can carry urine down into the pad. A light dab of cool water, then blot again, is plenty.
Bleach, ammonia and strong scented sprays can discolor carpet or mask the problem. Let the pet treatment do that work.
Before the visit
A sticky note or a quick list of rooms helps, especially for older spots you can smell but not see.
Choose small pet treatment ($85, up to three rooms) or standard ($149, five rooms, two halls and a staircase) so treatment covers the whole area.
Spots that have been there a long time, or soaked into the pad, behave differently than fresh ones.
A quiet room or crate during the visit keeps them calm around the equipment.
Honest expectations
These usually respond best to cleaning plus pet treatment.
Urine that reached the pad or subfloor may leave odor or staining behind. That isn't something any surface cleaning can promise to fix.
Some urine permanently changes carpet color. Cleaning can't reverse dye damage.
Pets often return to the same place, so treating every affected spot at once matters.
Permanent stain or odor removal cannot be promised. Results vary with the carpet, the source and age of the issue, and the affected materials.
Book a cleaning
The $99 standard package covers up to five rooms, two hallways and one standard staircase, or $149 with pet treatment. A small package starts at $75 ($85 with pet treatment), and each additional area is $15. Plus applicable tax. Appointments are Monday through Friday.
Ready when you are
Booking opens our scheduler, Housecall Pro. It asks for your address first to check that you’re in our service area; that check doesn’t book or charge anything. Then you choose the service and a weekday time, and you get a text confirmation. No payment to book.
